behind our eyes, not just what is in front of us. Our
ability to learn from experience is diminished.
Our Higher Self (Aumakua) sits at the top of our head and
doesn’t have a body. It waits for us to ASK it to come inside. The
breath is the watering can that sends our life
force to it.
When we consciously take a deep breath through the nose,
we are expanding all the neuro-networks in our head, and connecting to the
higher levels of Creation, our Higher Self.
The ancient Hawaiians felt their sole purpose was to
connect to these higher levels, and they practiced deep, conscious breathing
and cord-cutting to keep them aligned with Spirit. (to be explained later)
When the missionaries from
Boston arrived on the Islands in 1820 to teach the Hawaiians about God, the
Hawaiians noticed that the missionaries weren’t breathing. Knowing this,
they were reluctant to share their "healing secrets" with them. So the
secrets were buried in the chants and hula dances. Breathe deeply through your NOSE to your Higher Self,
situated at the top of your head. As you exhale through the MOUTH, you’ll
make a whispered "ha" sound, which moves the breath through the body
like a fountain of water, washing away impurities. As you hold the exhale, the
breath condenses the air and water and moves it into the ground where it
solidifies to ground you.
The dolphins are conscious breathers. If they do not
consciously take a deep breath as they jump out of the water, they will die.
We have to become like dolphins and remember to breathe deeply. Then we are
not just doing so when we meditate, do yoga, or exercise. Our life becomes a
meditation as we consciously breathe when we’re in the car going to
work, ("road breath" rather than "road rage"),
sitting at our desk, walking to the store, or anytime we
desire to feel
alive.
