This, in my mind, is the question facing you, in your path to
discover your purpose.
For, you see, if you
cannot face your deepest, darkest fears; or, your shadow self, then you
will never fully know your purpose. I believe we need to know our selves
at our BEST and at our WORST in order to truly conquer fear and blast
through to the path we truly are most intended to live -- the path we
chose before entering this world -- the path that is partly predestined.
Isn't the answer to the question
nagging at you? Do you know if you can make it?
Now, in order to cross that
room, you must understand the importance of surrender.
Do you find yourself butting
up against the world, or feel as if no matter how hard you try, no matter
how much effort you put out, you still cannot control your destiny?
If so, you are not alone. The
only answer to this problem, I discovered, is to surrender. What are you
willing to sacrifice to stop living the same way? What are you willing to
cut loose and get rid of to free yourself to be who you truly are meant to
be?
In the Bible, Jesus talks
about a story that if your hand causes you to be unable to follow him, to
cut it off. If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it
away. If your eye causes you to be unable to see, to pluck it out. Or,
something like that. Anyway, I'm paraphrasing. But the point he is making is
that you must surrender your WHOLE self
if you are to become enlightened and truly discover and live your
purpose.
To me, it's almost the point
where we would rather die than not live our purpose. I'm NOT saying go out
and cut off your hand, cut off your foot, commit suicide or anything like
that. I'm just pointing out that metaphysically, the story of the
phoenix rising has validity when it comes to
life purpose. It's the same idea as being
born again. I don't mean this as a right-winger. I could care less about
politics and religion, in that context. What I mean is that you must wash
away the old self, and be birthed anew. Because when you cross the room with
all the fears that haunt that old self, it may indeed be scary. But, on the
other side (and you CAN make it) there awaits for you the TRUTH.
To borrow a line from the
first movie, The Matrix, will you take the RED PILL,
and see how far this rabbit hole goes? Or will you take the BLUE PILL and go
back to the life of confusion, ignorance, and ego? Will you surrender
in order to live your true purpose?
The choice is up to you.
Now, exactly how can you
surrender? First, you must consider...
