He replied, “Well, Scott, you see, the amount of time and energy expended to create the paperwork, the due diligence, the process to write you a check for $200,000 is pretty much the same as if you ask for $5 Million. So, in my opinion, asking for anything less than $5 Million is short-changing your dream.”

At the time, I did not see the wisdom in his words. But today, after working with Venture Capitalists, Hedge Fund Investors, Entrepreneurs, and Inventors, I believe he was right.

I recently had someone ask me for $200,000 funding. He told me he would hire my company if I helped him get the money. When he said that, I walked away from his opportunity. Why?

Because, in my gut, I felt immediately that he is out of integrity with the money he is asking for. You do not tie someone’s services to getting you money you need to attract for your business. It is disrespectful to their service. If you believe their service is worth hiring, then pay them and hire them. But do not tie the hiring of the service to a contingency that you get a side result you seek. In addition, the amount of money he was seeking was less than he had already invested himself in his enterprise. I felt he should have been asking for $5 Million dollars. I believe he will struggle in his business (largely due to arrogance) and I wish to avoid those types of struggles, so I walked away.

It is with this absolute conviction that I now understand the importance in knowing who we are, what we are doing, why we are doing it, what we aim to accomplish, and when we need it. It is for the Infinite Intelligence, or God, or the spirit that runs through all living things, to determine exactly how we accomplish that which we desire.

Of course, our desires must come from solid integrity to improve the world or do something bigger. And in this, I have had a desire for over 8 years now:

MY GOAL: TO CREATE THE MOST POWERFUL, HELPFUL, and VALUABLE ONLINE SELF-HELP SYSTEM IN THE WORLD.

What do I need? Five million dollars. I am requesting $5 million dollars to find a way, a person, a method, an investor (i.e. whatever the how might be) to get to me by the end of May, 2007. See, I know who I am. I know what I am doing, I know why I am doing it. I know what I desire to attract. And, I know when I need to attract it by. This is the magnificent law of attraction in action. I will report back to you on my success with this principle.

What is this self-help system?

I call it the AspireNow Advisor. It is about taking the dream and getting advice for it, so that one may arrive at the dream’s destination in with more customers, more cash, more quickly.

I have developed a working prototype that simply needs more resources, solutions, and database tools to make it a realistic revenue and solution model.

I am confident I will raise $5 Million dollars for this cause. It is with this money that I will procure the necessary systems and infrastructure to build the simplest, easy to use, and helpful system of interactive support for career, goals, dreams, relationships, business, finance, leadership, and so on.

It will go beyond About.com or iVillage. It will utilize a subscription model and an advertising model to attract millions of dollars in funding that will eventually repay the original amount given.

However, I don’t believe the person who will give me $5 Million will do it because they NEED the $5 Million back. I think they will give it to me because they WANT to see me realize this goal.

Why?

Because the goal is of noble, spiritual, and filled with integrity in doing something important in our world of the information age. It is because this goal is something I am passionate about – to the extent that I sacrificed all I had, essentially burning the Galleons ala Cortez to never return to Spain again until I achieve my goal. Spain, in my case, is the corporate world. As an entrepreneur, I made a decision last year that I cannot go back, and can only move forward towards the dreams, companies, and inventions which I am now creating.

What would I do with the first $1,000,000 that I made from the $5,000,000?

I would not immediately repay my investor. Why? The investor is choosing me to make their money grow by putting energy into something of high amounts of value in the world. To create value once, and then repeat that success multiple times over. It is like the parable of the talents in the Bible (the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 25:14-30). The one with 5 talents returns 5 talents more. He is given the talent of the one who buried his talent in the sand. I will not bury my talents, but invest them in additional technologies that will impact humankind for the better.

First of all, I’d invest in the technology of breast cancer treatment. There is a new treatment they’ve developed that enables them to treat just the diseased cancer cells in a mouse’s breast without removing the breast. It has been shown to “cure” or remove the diseased cells and thereby reduce the impact of invasive medical treatments on breast cancer. As a man who has lost a cousin to breast cancer, and who has known and dated several women with previous breast cancer, I can only say that this technology is of utmost importance.

Another technology I would invest in is the ability to levitate huge objects with sonic vibration. It is my belief that through sonic levitation the technology behind the pyramids and other great structures is revealed. It would save millions and also create billions of dollars to be able to levitate objects with sonic vibration. So, creating a laboratory to test sonic vibration (audio frequencies) as a way to create levitation, healing, and other benefits would be a boon to society. The study of sound and the ability to sound to lift, shake, heal, restore, heat, and so forth is not developed to capacity.

The last, is a new type of coating that will enable communication and energy to be conducted without wires or gasoline. I truly imagine “a world without wires.”

When the Clean Air acts and various emissions studies are being drafted into law, all I read is how people are trying to get back to a level similar to 1990. I think this is ludicrous! We need to wind back our pollution to what it was PRIOR to 1890!! This was the beginning of the industrial revolution, and with it, came the pollution in the world. So, we need to wind back emissions to 1890. In other words, run our automobiles on AIR.

We need more trees, cleaner water, and less pollution. And, the earth needs its fossil fuels. So, we need to reduce the amount of these resources required for energy dramatically. The big companies of the world need to be challenged as to how they might become good citizens, rather than greed citizens. This is for the betterment of all humankind.

So, these are all things I would do with the first five million raised from the five million.

I will take the money, double it, then make it worth billions more. Beyond that, I believe that providing help for others in how to live their dreams, create more fulfilling careers, build loving relationships, and make sound decisions for their business, finances, and health is more than likely to produce a lot of money and opportunity for thousands of people affiliated with this project. Just as Google has hired many and creates billions of dollars of wealth and value, so can this simple $5 Million dollar idea. After all, doesn't every great deed in the world start with an idea or original thought?
