Career Quiz - Is Sales for Me?

A quick quiz list is as follows:

Am I interested in talking to people about my company?

Does the product excite me?

Can I achieve my financial goals through this career?

Do I use a process of selling?

Am I excited to get up in the morning to go to work?

Do I want to grow my network of friends and associates?

Is my productivity high in this position?

Do I see myself being happy selling this product or service?

Does the company have a unique selling idea or story for products and services?

Does the company offer unique advantages over their competitors to buy?

Can I see myself doing this job for the next year?

Rate 2 points for each yes answer.

For a score of 10 or higher sales is a definite possibility. Otherwise, you may want to consider a different career perhaps in a less direct role. Keep in mind that most professional have to "sell" at some point, even if it is a concept or idea. When we interview for a job we are also selling ourselves, as a person providing service to an employer, to a certain extent.
